Imagine Chaleur is dedicated to helping businesses and individuals in the Chaleur Region gain access to the resources they need to succeed in their business ventures.Aware of the immense challenge of entrepreneurial succession in our small regions, we’re organizing a major event on MAY 22, in partnership with RDÉE Nouveau-Brunswick, to bring together retiring business owners and future entrepreneurs, to ensure the succession of businesses in the region.Please note that you can participate in this event for information purposes only, without necessarily having a property for sale or a business purchase project at this time. This event is the first in our brand-new thematic series entitled "Perspectives". Other events will follow over the year. "Perspectives: Businesses Transition" will be held at the Best Western Plus in downtown Bathurst and will take the form of a conference/presentation in the morning and a panel discussion in the afternoon. Experts, lawyer, accountant, and entrepreneurs will be on hand to answer questions. The entire day is free for all participants, including snacks and lunch. CULTURES IN THE WORKPLACE: REDUCING DIFFERENCES

Imagine Chaleur, in collaboration with the Vitalité Health Network, the Chaleur Regional Service Commission, and the Acadian Peninsula Regional Service Commission, is offering a training session to healthcare workers from zone 6. The training will take place at the Best Western Plus (150 Main Street, Bathurst, NB) on Friday, May 24th, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. . The theme of this workshop is "CULTURES IN THE WORKPLACE: REDUCING DIFFERENCES". The training will be led by instructor Lionel Laroche, president and founder of MultiCultural Business Solutions. It will offer participants an approach tailored to the healthcare sector, focused on concrete actions, and will include tools to navigate multicultural work environments and improve the integration of immigrant individuals within their teams. This workshop is exclusively reserved for employees in the healthcare sector.

The Path to Successful integration

Imagine Chaleur and the Chaleur Region Multicultural Association are delighted to invite employers in the Chaleur region to participate in an upcoming information session led by Micheline Roy, Certified Human Resources Consultant.The theme of this workshop is “The path to successful integration”. During this workshop, Micheline Roy will explain the different aspects of accompanying an immigrant employee and provide you with the keys to successful integration. “By investing in various aspects of support, an employer significantly contributes to the professional and personal success of its immigrant employees, thereby strengthening diversity within the company and creating a richer, more dynamic work environment conductive to innovation.” Shirley de Silva, Director of Economic Development and Tourism, Imagine Chaleur The event will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at the offices of the Chaleur Region Multicultural Association at 325 Main Street in Bathurst. Imagine Chaleur launches a new awareness campaign to shape the region’s economic future

Bathurst, September 6, 2023 – Imagine Chaleur, the economic and tourism development service, is proud to announce the launch of its new awareness campaign intended to guide the economic development of New Brunswick’s Chaleur Region. This major initiative, scheduled to run from September 5 to October 31, 2023, invites local businesses to actively participate in a wide-ranging survey aimed at painting a complete and accurate picture of the region.Data collectionOver the next few days, nearly a thousand targeted businesses will receive a questionnaire via email or postal mail. The collected data will be used to create a comprehensive profile of the region, highlighting its assets and challenges. “We are convinced that our region’s success rests on a deep understanding of its strengths and weaknesses”, stated Ms. Shirley de Silva, Director of the Economic Development and Tourism Department. “This survey will assist our future initiatives by guiding our actions to stimulate local economic development”, she added.This opinion is shared by Mr. Daniel Guitard, President of the Chaleur Regional Service Commission, who proudly applauds this new initiative.
